Mission – St. Andrew’s Academy is a Lutheran (ELCA) school that offers a challenging academic program with meaningful, experiential, hands-on learning in a caring and supportive environment. Our small class sizes allow individualized instruction, and our experienced and exceptional teachers meet each child’s academic needs.
Values – The core values of St. Andrew's Academy are strongly articulated and stem directly from the preceding mission statement. The nine core values which drive the school are:
- An opportunity for each student to learn about Jesus Christ and to live out His teachings in a Christian community of learners.
- A lasting commitment to encourage and to develop positive character traits of integrity, honor, courage, risk-taking, perseverance, patience, and high moral and ethical conduct.
- An environment which encourages and respects diversity among all of its students.
- An unwavering belief in the potential of all children.
- The constant encouragement and development of each student's creativity.
- The knowledge that the school shall enhance each child's autonomy and accountability to self, parents, and the learning community.
- The importance of a cooperative spirit within and among the entire school community.
- The understanding that the most important responsibility of parents is the education of their children; to that end, they and the school will work closely together.
- The development of a strong commitment by each student to the school and the larger community of which each is a member.
